The endurance scavenger hunt takes its cues from CBS’s The Amazing Race, challenging teams of two to locate and solve 12 clues hidden within a 3–5 mile radius as well as complete checkpoint challenges. Duos, who are encouraged to dress in costumes if they like, travel by foot, train, or bus to crack the clues in any order they choose.

Dallas Urban Race for Hope
You’ve been waiting to be a contestant on The Amazing Race! Your wait is over! Put your talents to the test, and sign up now to compete in Dallas’ best Urban Race, while supporting an amazing cause at the same time. Enjoy a day of solving clues, competing in challenges and racing your team through the city. Do you have the BRAIN and the BRAWN to win TeamQuest?
Teams of two clad in matching costumes or plain clothes gather clues and complete challenges throughout a 3–5 mile city radius. Racers can take the course by foot or hop aboard buses and trains—but not taxies—throughout the race and are free to use smartphones to call old cartography teachers for help. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. on September 28, 2013 at Katy Trail Ice House near uptown (tentative). The clue envelopes are passed out promptly at 9 a.m., and the hunt concludes by 1 p.m., just in time to reward first-, second-, and third-place winners with cash or gift certificates. Don’t forget the awards ceremony costume contest! One hundred percent of the proceeds raised through registration fees and sponsorships are donated to Mary Crowley Cancer Research Centers.
Scavenger hunts are the best way to get to know a city. Whether you have been a Dallas resident your entire lifetime, or are wondering your way to our city for a vacation, you’ll learn more ways about how to survive the Big D than you ever thought. So, get your teammate and get ready to race!

"We had so much fun! I love running, but adding obstacles takes this race from a simple 10K to a fantastic morning of great times. My friend and I are looking forward to this every year, and we have lots of other friends that saw our pictures and plan on participating as well. BTW, I loved playing baseball with inflatable bats!"

"I participated with a co-worker. It was a great team-building experience, and we both had a lot of fun and got to know each other much better! Be sure to wear comfortable, athletic shoes! We covered more ground than we expected!"
